ADEX 2026: Azerbaijan signs contract for Hürkus-II

Azerbaijan contracted Turkish Aerospace for 14 Hürkuş-II trainer aircraft at ADEX 2026 in Baku, becoming the improved trainer’s first export customer. The agreement was signed with Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence Industry during the exhibition held from September 30 to October 2, with initial deliveries expected to begin in 2026. Hürkuş-II will support pilot instruction and training, following delivery of the first aircraft to the Turkish Air Force on September 28. Turkish Aerospace is also discussing possible subsystem production in Azerbaijan, building on its existing local presence and extending the programme’s potential industrial cooperation beyond deliveries of completed aircraft.
