Air defence turret shown on Boxer for the first time

A Moog Reconfigurable Integrated-weapons Platform air-defense module has been displayed on a Boxer armored vehicle for the first time at DVD 2026. The demonstrator combines an XM914 30x113 mm cannon, a 7.62 mm M240 machine gun, four Stinger missiles, and sixteen 70 mm laser-guided rockets, offering layered options against drones and other short-range threats. The integration highlights Boxer's modularity and a possible mobile air-defense configuration, but it is a technology demonstrator rather than confirmation of a British Army order, completed qualification, or operational fielding.
