American nuclear attack submarine arrives in Scotland

A US Virginia-class nuclear-powered attack submarine arrived on the surface in Scotland's Firth of Clyde on September 7 for a visit to HM Naval Base Clyde at Faslane. The class performs anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare, intelligence collection, special-operations support and Tomahawk land-attack missions.
