ASPİLSAN says it is producing two different battery types and associated charging equipment for Türkiye's KAAN fighter, detailing the work in an October 2026 interview. The company develops and qualifies energy-system components with domestic partners for integration into military aircraft and other critical platforms. Its wider portfolio includes batteries for torpedoes, underwater equipment, unmanned vehicles, land and naval systems, rockets and space applications, with total cell-production capacity of approximately 21 million annually. The disclosed work concerns locally manufactured electrical subsystems and their qualification, while no KAAN-specific production quantity, battery capacity or charging-performance figure was announced.
