AUKUS Maritime Big Play Tests 40+ Technologies in Live-Fire Autonomy Demo
Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States are evaluating more than 40 government and industry technologies during Maritime Big Play Pacific in Southern California. Running from October 5 to 25, the AUKUS Pillar II demonstration includes live-fire scenarios combining crewed and uncrewed systems for maritime strike, contested resupply and undersea warfare. Participants are testing common command-and-control arrangements and secure communications linking capabilities from the stratosphere to the seabed, following three years of preparatory work. Hosted by US naval and Marine Corps organizations, the ongoing event is intended to assess interoperability and operational employment of the participating technologies.
