Australian Air Force Declares IOC For LRASM And JASSM-ER Air-Launched Strike Missiles

The Royal Australian Air Force declared initial operational capability for AGM-158C LRASM anti-ship missiles and AGM-158B JASSM-ER land-attack weapons on the F/A-18F Super Hornet. LRASM offers more than 370 kilometres of reach, while JASSM-ER extends precision land strike to roughly 900 kilometres. Australian testing included LRASM firings at Point Mugu, JASSM-ER launches at Woomera and a P-8A LRASM shot during RIMPAC 2026.
