BAE Systems says BATS links drone detection to gun and electronic warfare engagement in successful two-week Scottish trials
BAE Systems has reported successful completion of two-week trials in Scotland for its Battlefield Anti-UAS Team System, which integrates drone detection sensors with both kinetic gun engagement and electronic warfare defeat mechanisms in a single coordinated counter-UAS solution. BATS demonstrated the ability to cue and engage drone targets through multiple effector types, validating the system's layered approach to drone defeat across detection, classification and engagement phases. The trials support BAE's case for BATS as a deployable C-UAS capability for land forces operating in contested airspace.
