BAE Systems says Golden Dome role includes $1.2 billion Epoch 2 missile-warning program, U.S. space business grows 30%

BAE Systems says its U.S. space portfolio will support the Golden Dome missile-defence architecture through programmes including the $1.2 billion Epoch 2 resilient missile-warning and tracking effort. The company completed Epoch 2's preliminary design review in early 2026 and is developing a multisatellite constellation with an associated ground command-and-control system. Sales at BAE's Space & Mission Systems business rose almost 30% year on year during the first half of 2026, while the unit booked £1.6 billion in orders. The work forms part of a broader space and homeland-defence portfolio rather than a standalone Golden Dome award.
