Bittium and Safran target French defence market with tactical communications partnership covering air defence and counter drone networks

Bittium and Safran Electronics and Defense signed a two-year memorandum of understanding to explore an integrated tactical-communications offering for the French Ministry of Armed Forces and military services. The planned cooperation covers ground-based air-defense networking, counter-drone links, communications for unmanned systems, mission networks, dismounted-soldier radios and other secure connectivity requirements. Bittium contributes resilient mobile radio and network technology, while Safran provides local market knowledge, program access and systems-integration experience; the memorandum defines prospective collaboration and marketing work over time rather than a French procurement contract.
