BlackSky will provide the exclusive high-resolution optical-imaging component for a France-UAE artificial-intelligence satellite constellation valued at about $1 billion. Its Gen-3 spacecraft will join a planned initial fleet of roughly 50 multimodal satellites assembled with partners including Marlan Space, Loft Orbital and Mistral AI, combining imagery with rapid automated analysis. BlackSky's individual contract value and satellite count were not disclosed, but the architecture is intended to generate alerts and decision-ready intelligence within seconds while giving the partner nations a sovereign, commercially operated source of persistent geospatial awareness.
