Boeing Advances To Next Phase Of Army’s IFPC Inc. 2 Second Interceptor Competition

Boeing has advanced to the next phase of the US Army's competition for a second interceptor under Increment 2 of the Indirect Fire Protection Capability. The effort seeks a complementary effector for defeating cruise missiles, rockets, artillery, mortars and uncrewed aircraft, expanding the defended threat set while giving commanders a more economical response for suitable targets. Advancement keeps Boeing eligible for further design, integration and testing work rather than guaranteeing selection, production or fielding, and the Army will compare performance, magazine depth, interoperability and cost before choosing a final solution.
