Boeing wins $14.7 billion contract to triple Patriot PAC-3 MSE seeker output amid record global demand for air defense missiles

Boeing has received an approximately $14.7 billion, seven-year agreement from Lockheed Martin to triple production of seekers for Patriot PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement interceptors. Announced on October 5 as an undefinitized contract action, the award follows an April framework agreement to expand output for growing air and missile defense demand. Boeing has invested more than $200 million since 2024 in production capacity, including a 35,000-square-foot expansion at its Huntsville facility. The agreement covers the seeker that supports terminal target interception, with Lockheed Martin remaining responsible for the overall PAC-3 MSE missile program.
