Brimstone 3 moves closer to Protector clearance

Brimstone 3 has moved closer to clearance on Britain's Protector RG Mk1 unmanned aircraft following further integration and certification work. The missile would give the long-endurance platform a precise surface-attack option against moving and fixed targets while allowing remote crews to remain at stand-off distance. Progress depends on completing carriage, separation, software, safety and airworthiness evidence across the combined aircraft-weapon system. No declaration of operational capability has yet been made, and final clearance timing will depend on the remaining trials and regulatory approvals in Britain.
