Britain commits £100 million for Patriot missiles and air defence equipment to protect Ukraine from Russian attacks this winter

The United Kingdom committed £100 million through NATO’s Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List to supply Ukraine with additional air-defense equipment before winter. The contribution covers Patriot missiles, other interceptor types, large-calibre artillery ammunition and drones rather than a single stand-alone purchase. London presented the package as an urgent response to expected Russian attacks on cities and energy infrastructure. It adds near-term consumables to Ukraine’s defenses while coordinating British funding with the broader allied mechanism used to source and deliver priority equipment under a common priorities list.
