British Army seeks suppliers for FPV drone training

The British Army opened market engagement for Project UBIQUITY, seeking affordable and scalable first-person-view drone training systems rather than combat aircraft. The proposed contract is valued at £3 million excluding VAT, would run from January 11, 2027, to January 10, 2028, and includes an option extending it to January 2029; responses are due October 2. Suppliers are expected to address drones, ground-control stations, batteries, spares, repairs, documentation, and training support. The exercise is intended to refine the Army’s user requirement before any competitive tender, so it is not yet a procurement award.
