Canada, Ukraine to increase drone production, sign 100-year pact

Canada and Ukraine agreed to expand joint production of uncrewed technologies, counter-drone systems and munitions under a 100-year partnership framework. Prime Minister Mark Carney said Canada aims to build capacity for millions of drones within two years, with one-third intended for Ukraine. Ottawa also announced C$350 million for air-defence interceptors and additional financial support for Ukrainian energy security. The agreements combine Ukrainian combat experience with Canadian industrial investment, but individual factory locations, contract awards, delivery schedules and total drone types have not yet been fully specified.
