Croatia to buy 18 K239 Chunmoo rocket launchers from South Korea over extra U.S. M142 HIMARS

Croatia is preparing a €435.2 million purchase of 18 K239 Chunmoo multiple rocket launchers from South Korea, rather than adding more American-made HIMARS systems. The package is expected to include missiles, reload and command vehicles, simulators, training, spares, and logistics support, with Poland’s WB Group separately integrating its TOPAZ command system. Government approval was pending ahead of an anticipated September signing, payments are planned across 2026–2029, and roughly 85 percent of deliveries are expected in 2028. The purchase would complement the eight HIMARS launchers Croatia has already ordered.
