CSG to supply Morana howitzers to Latvia in project worth hundreds of millions of euros, with domestic manufacturing planned
Latvia and Czechoslovak Group agreed on a project worth hundreds of millions of euros to supply Morana 155 mm self-propelled howitzers, with Tatra Defence Systems acting as prime contractor. The package also envisages multiple-launch rocket systems on a common Tatra Force 8x8 chassis and meaningful production, maintenance and support activity in Latvia. Slovak and Czech companies would provide the gun, superstructure, components and fire-control elements, while the parties expect European SAFE financing to support a broader effort to expand Latvia's indirect-fire capacity and domestic defense industry.
