Czech Republic and Belgium to collaborate on L-39 Skyfox Drone Hunter to shoot down drones with 70 mm rockets
Aero Vodochody and Thales Belgium signed an agreement on October 5 to continue integrating and testing 70-millimetre laser-guided rockets on the L-39 Skyfox Drone Hunter. The configuration pairs Thales FZ275 rockets with a SiNAB Phoenix 10 targeting pod, using the two-seat jet as an airborne counter-drone platform. Aero describes carriage of up to 28 rockets and a target envelope covering drones flying at 150–600 kilometres per hour at altitudes up to 8,000 metres. The agreement advances industrial integration and testing, with these figures describing the proposed configuration rather than a newly fielded interception capability.
