DC National Guard's First Maritime Security Vessel Adds New Layer to Capital Defense

The DC National Guard has received its first maritime security vessel. The boat adds a new capability layer for defending the national capital region. It joins existing Coast Guard and civilian patrol assets on the Potomac and Anacostia. The unit will focus on port and infrastructure security.
