Dutch Join Saab GlobalEye Club

The Netherlands signed a letter of intent with Sweden to acquire one Saab GlobalEye airborne early-warning and control aircraft. The plan would give Dutch personnel training access to Sweden's fleet from 2028 and target delivery of the Netherlands' aircraft in 2031, creating a shared pool of four platforms if the arrangement is completed. GlobalEye combines a long-range Erieye radar with additional sensors aboard a Global 6000 business jet, but the document is not a final purchase contract; price, detailed support terms and binding delivery obligations remain to be negotiated.
