DVD 2026: First upgraded British Army MLRS displayed

The first British Army M270 launcher upgraded to the M270A2 standard was displayed at Defence Vehicle Dynamics 2026. The broader program covers 61 launchers and eight repair and recovery vehicles, updating automotive components, fire control, cab protection, and compatibility with newer munitions. These changes are intended to improve reliability, survivability, and access to current and future long-range precision rockets and missiles. The displayed vehicle is an important program milestone, but fleetwide capability will depend on completing conversions, training crews, and sustaining sufficient ammunition stocks through a prolonged transition period.
