Eight amphibious ships to be built under UK-Dutch deal

UK and Netherlands agreed to jointly build eight amphibious ships under a landmark bilateral programme. The vessels will replace UK Albion-class LPDs and Dutch Rotterdam-class. It represents major consolidation of European amphibious capability. Industrial workshare arrangements are being finalised.
