Elbit Systems UK debuts integrated RSTS in British Army exercise

Elbit Systems UK demonstrated its integrated range-training support technologies together for the first time during a three-day British Army exercise. The package combined Joint Fires Synthetic Trainer, deployed virtual simulation and an indirect-fire training system that can represent 81-millimeter mortars and the 105-millimeter Light Gun. Linking live, virtual and constructive elements lets troops rehearse target acquisition, fire missions and command decisions without expending ammunition for every scenario. The event was a capability demonstration, and no new acquisition quantity or servicewide rollout schedule was announced yet.
