Estonian military, Archangel sign three-year defence pact

The Estonian Defence Forces and defence-focused venture capital fund Archangel signed a three-year cooperation agreement to strengthen links between the military, defence technology companies, and investors in Estonia and the wider Baltic region. The cooperation focuses on exchanging information, matching military needs with emerging technologies, and supporting opportunities for companies to test and develop solutions in Estonia where appropriate. Archangel will engage with regional companies and investment opportunities while the Estonian Defence Forces provide an operational perspective on capability needs; the agreement is an innovation and ecosystem partnership rather than procurement of a specific AI or autonomous system.
