Ethiopia's Mekelle Weapons Cache Holds US, Russian and Chinese Bombs

Ethiopian military footage released after government forces retook Mekelle showed a weapons cache containing munitions of several foreign designs, including Chinese GB-25 guided bombs and US-pattern Mk 82 aerial bombs. Images also appeared to show Soviet-designed FAB-500ShN bombs, R-60M and R-73E air-to-air missiles, and components associated with Iranian Mohajer-6 uncrewed aircraft. Ethiopian authorities presented the material as recovered from areas linked to Tigrayan forces following the October 3 recapture of the city. The imagery does not establish the chain of custody, actual operational use or direct supply by the countries associated with those designs.
