EU expands IRIS² secure satellite constellation to 348 spacecraft, adding 66 satellites for defence, security and emergency services

The European Union has expanded the IRIS² constellation to 348 spacecraft. The revised architecture adds 66 satellites. IRIS² is intended to support defence, security and emergency-service communications. The expansion strengthens Europe’s planned sovereign secure-connectivity capacity.
