Faslane submarine base in Scotland to get ballistic shelters
Babcock International awarded Henry Brothers three contracts worth a combined £2.55 million for infrastructure improvements at His Majesty's Naval Base Clyde in Scotland. The projects cover upgraded security fencing around a support building, supply and installation of specialist ballistic security shelters across Faslane, and refurbishment of an existing Pressure Test Building. Work is starting immediately as part of Babcock's investment in the base's support infrastructure. Faslane supports the Royal Navy's Vanguard ballistic-missile submarines and Astute attack submarines, with the contracts contributing to ongoing investment in security and maintenance facilities at the fleet's principal submarine operating and support base.
