Finland Urges Musk To Allow Starlink Use Against Russia

Finnish President Alexander Stubb urged SpaceX chief executive Elon Musk to relax restrictions that prevent Ukraine from using Starlink connectivity to support strikes inside Russia. Kyiv regards the satellite network as operationally important for resilient communications and unmanned systems, but SpaceX uses geographic and policy controls that limit service beyond Ukraine and in some occupied areas. The appeal follows reports that Musk continued to oppose enabling deep-strike use, despite Ukrainian efforts to secure permission through U.S. political channels. No policy change, technical modification or government agreement was announced, leaving Ukraine dependent on a privately controlled service whose battlefield permissions can be altered unilaterally.
