Forterra reveals lessons from 1,400 Lancer missions in Ukraine
Forterra reported that more than 100 Lancer unmanned ground vehicles have completed over 1,400 missions in Ukraine, providing a substantial operational data set for its autonomy software. Based on the Polaris Ranger 1500 and fitted with Forterra’s AutoDrive and Vektor systems, the vehicles have supported resupply and casualty-evacuation tasks in contested terrain. The company says battlefield use drove improvements in traction, recovery, communications, remote updates, and operator control. The figures are company-reported, and independent data on mission success, losses, availability, and cost were not published.
