France's Harmattan AI Unveils 2,000 km IRIFI Drone for GNSS-Denied Strikes
Harmattan AI unveiled IRIFI on October 6 as an expendable long-range strike drone with a manufacturer-stated reach of up to 2,000 kilometres. The combustion-powered aircraft launches from a mobile canister and combines onboard processing with multiple navigation inputs intended to maintain operation without satellite positioning. Its proposed terminal-guidance approach uses visual sensing, with the company claiming precision at the metre level. Commanders approve targets and set mission limits before launch, after which IRIFI is intended to execute the authorised flight and strike autonomously without continuous human control.
