GA-ASI Lays Out No Date for Resumption Of YFQ-42A Flights After Mishap

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. (GA-ASI) has confirmed that no return-to-flight date has been established for the YFQ-42A Collaborative Combat Aircraft following a recent mishap during test operations. The YFQ-42A is one of two CCA prototype designs competing in the U.S. Air Force's program to field autonomous wingman aircraft alongside crewed fighters. The grounding introduces schedule uncertainty for the CCA program at a critical evaluation phase. GA-ASI stated that investigation and corrective action work is ongoing.
