GE Aerospace names Poland's WZL-1 licensed engine maintenance provider for Apache, Black Hawk, AW149 and AW101 helicopter fleets

GE Aerospace has designated Poland's WZL-1 military aviation works as a licensed maintenance provider for turboshaft engines powering the Apache, Black Hawk, AW149 and AW101 helicopter fleets. The arrangement establishes WZL-1 as a regional MRO hub for GE-family military rotorcraft engines in Central and Eastern Europe, supporting NATO allies that operate these platforms. The partnership enhances Poland's sovereign maintenance capacity while enabling faster turnaround times for allied helicopter fleets without requiring engines to be shipped to facilities outside the region.
