GE Plans To Double Fighter Engine Production By 2032

GE Aerospace plans to more than double deliveries of its F110 and F404/F414 fighter engines by 2032 as U.S. and international aircraft demand rises. The company is streamlining factory flows, adding automation and additive manufacturing, and investing in suppliers; it says its Flight Deck operating system cut defect-resolution time by 40% while lifting output. Air Force planning indicates F110 demand could exceed 180 engines annually by fiscal 2034, supporting aircraft including the F-15EX and F-16. GE has also made $600 million in recent production-system investments, including $100 million at its Lynn, Massachusetts, site, while exact annual output totals remain undisclosed.
