General Atomics FQ-42A Vengeance CCA Now Flying Together With USAF Fighters

General Atomics has released the first image of its FQ-42A Vengeance Collaborative Combat Aircraft flying alongside an F-35A and F-15E during expanding U.S. Air Force testing. GA-ASI also delivered another Vengeance to Creech Air Force Base, Nevada, for test, evaluation and operational experimentation, building on autonomous and semi-autonomous trials with the XQ-67A and MQ-20 Avenger. The FQ-42A and Anduril’s FQ-44A are scheduled to join a large-force employment exercise in December, while General Atomics plans an FQ-42A air-to-air missile shot in the near term. The Air Force targets initial operational CCAs by the end of the decade and a fleet of at least 500 by 2032.
