Gentex Develops PURSUIT Fixed-Wing Helmet to Reduce Aircrew Strain and Support Modular Upgrades

Gentex developed the PURSUIT next-generation fixed-wing helmet to reduce aircrew neck and spine strain while supporting multiple mission configurations. Its lightweight carbon shell, optimized center of gravity, improved ventilation and modular open architecture accommodate current and future displays, night vision, communications and protective equipment. Four shell sizes are intended to fit more than 99 percent of aircrew, and the design meets United States Navy and Air Force performance standards. The Navy has selected PURSUIT under a five-year contract covering more than 5,000 systems and spares.
