Gryphon R1810 Radar Spots Drones at 21.6 km for Northrop's Raid Hunter

SRC developed the Gryphon R1810 X-band AESA fire-control radar for Northrop Grumman’s Raid Hunter 50 mm counter-UAS gun system. According to company data, the R1810 can detect a representative Group 1 drone at up to 21.6 km and a Group 3 aircraft at up to 49.4 km while also tracking outgoing projectiles for fire correction. A single 148 kg panel covers a 90-degree sector, while four panels can provide full azimuth coverage. The system is being positioned for mobile air-defence applications, but the announcement did not identify a production contract, customer quantity or deployment schedule.
