DVD 2026: Lockheed Martin integrates WCSP-derived turret onto Redback IFV

Lockheed Martin UK integrated a crewed turret derived from the cancelled Warrior upgrade onto Hanwha’s Redback infantry fighting vehicle in 12 weeks for DVD 2026. The displayed turret carries a 40 mm cased-telescoped cannon with 70 ready rounds, under-armor reloading and a modular mount that could accept 25 or 30 mm weapons. Connection to Lockheed’s SkyKeeper command system lets the vehicle exchange air-surveillance data and, with airburst ammunition, engage drones, creating a dual-role infantry and very-short-range air-defense configuration.
