Hanwha Defense USA selects U.S. Army's Pine Bluff Arsenal for $2.2 billion 155mm munitions campus

Hanwha Defense USA plans to invest about $2.2 billion in an advanced munitions manufacturing campus at Pine Bluff Arsenal in Arkansas. The facility will produce 155mm propellant charges and base-bleed units, rather than complete artillery shells, and is expected to create nearly 400 jobs over seven years. Hanwha has opened an administrative headquarters at the arsenal as the first step in the project. The campus is intended to expand domestic capacity across key stages of the U.S. munitions industrial base.
