Hellenic Navy Tests SARONIC’s Corsair USV Ahead of Major Order
The Hellenic Navy evaluated Saronic Corsair unmanned surface vessels and submitted a Foreign Military Sales request to the United States ahead of a possible larger acquisition. At least two craft underwent trials involving Greek warships, including the support vessel HS Perseas, with demonstrations of transport and tactical cooperation. The seven-meter Corsair has a manufacturer-rated payload capacity of 454 kg and range exceeding 1,000 nautical miles, supporting reconnaissance and other configurable missions. Greek authorities confirmed successful evaluation but did not disclose the requested quantity, while separate reporting indicates interest in at least 30 vessels rather than a signed order.
