Hensoldt signs agreement with Ukraine for further air defence radar deliveries and development of surveillance capabilities

Hensoldt has signed a memorandum of understanding with Ukraine to expand air defense radar deliveries and develop additional surveillance capabilities. Concluded in Kyiv on October 4 during the German chancellor’s visit, the agreement builds on existing cooperation and includes work supporting protection against ballistic missile threats. The partners also plan to examine deployment and joint operation of Hensoldt’s TRL-4D LR long-range radar, extending the scope beyond current deliveries. Ukraine already uses Hensoldt radars with IRIS-T air defense systems, but the memorandum does not disclose a firm additional order quantity, contract value or delivery timetable.
