Honeywell opens F-35 test cell in the Netherlands to support faster repairs in Europe
Honeywell and Aeronamic have opened a dedicated test cell at Woensdrecht Air Support Command in the Netherlands to support maintenance of F-35 Lightning II aircraft operating in Europe. The installation is designed to test turbomachinery associated with the fighter's Power and Thermal Management System, a subsystem that manages important aircraft power and cooling functions. Honeywell supplied and integrated the test capability, while Dutch company Aeronamic will operate it as part of regional maintenance, repair and overhaul activity. Bringing this equipment into Europe's sustainment network is intended to shorten component turnaround and reduce the need to send selected units overseas for testing.
