IDV unveils upgraded British VIKING UGV with EW and strike roles

IDV unveiled upgraded British-built VIKING uncrewed ground vehicles in precision-effects and electronic-warfare configurations at DVD 2026. One vehicle carried Leonardo’s Guardian Vantage signals-intelligence and jamming system, while the series-hybrid powertrain can run sensors on battery with the engine off and travel up to 30 kilometres electrically for a lower signature. VIKING can be carried by Chinook and configured for ISTAR, counter-drone, logistics or casualty evacuation, giving operators a common robotic platform for missions ranging from passive collection to strike.
