India unveils first AI-driven fighter drone FWD Supreme for long-range strikes and fighter escort

Flying Wedge Defence & Aerospace unveiled a full-scale static FWD Supreme Heavy combat-drone prototype in New Delhi on October 13. The company targets a 350 kg payload, speeds up to Mach 0.85 and range exceeding 1,500 km for reconnaissance, electronic warfare, strike and cooperation with crewed fighters. Its proposed Mobbing Doctrine envisages 15 to 20 autonomous aircraft supporting one fighter, while the smaller 250 kg Supreme Lite demonstrator has completed taxi trials. The Heavy remains a static prototype and the Lite has not flown, so the quoted performance figures are design objectives, with no confirmed government production contract or funding commitment.
