Iron Dome architect behind new counter swarm system

Skapion unveiled a mobile kinetic counter-swarm system designed by former Rafael air-defense chief and Iron Dome developer Pini Yungman, claiming capacity to engage more than 100 drones simultaneously. The proposed architecture combines vertical-launch interceptors providing 360-degree coverage with AI command software that fuses sensor data, prioritizes threats and allocates engagements. Skapion says the system can operate autonomously or with one human operator and integrate its own or third-party sensors into existing command networks. The reported interception rate above 97% and reduced engagement cost are company claims, with no disclosed independent trial data, deployment customer or procurement quantity establishing operational performance.
