Israel Apache Deal: 12 AH-64E Guardians to Start Replacing Aging AH-64A Fleet

Israel signed an agreement for 12 Boeing AH-64E Apache Guardian attack helicopters, with deliveries planned for the early 2030s. The Version 6 aircraft will incorporate Northrop Grumman AN/APG-78 Longbow fire-control radars and manned-unmanned teaming receivers, with the radar offering a 16 km range and a dedicated maritime attack mode. The October 14 announcement did not disclose the purchase price and follows US approval for a possible sale of up to 30 helicopters valued at $3.8 billion. The new aircraft will renew Israel's AH-64A and AH-64D fleet, while the approved package includes weapon launchers but excludes the weapons themselves.
