Israeli Eitan spotted with active protection system in training

An Israeli Eitan 8×8 armoured personnel carrier was photographed during Nahal Brigade training with the Hetz Dorban hard-kill active protection system. Marketed by Elbit Systems as Iron Fist, the suite combines radar and optical sensors with an interceptor intended to defeat an incoming projectile before impact. Israel selected the system for Eitan in 2019, and the new imagery indicates that integration has progressed into unit-level training. Elbit says Iron Fist is designed for threats including rocket-propelled grenades, anti-tank guided missiles and drones, with some configurations also addressing kinetic-energy rounds.
