The keel has been laid for the first Fleet Solid Support ship as assembly begins at Appledore. The vessels will resupply Royal Navy carrier strike groups with munitions and stores. Construction is shared between UK and Spanish yards under Team Resolute. The program bolsters at-sea sustainment capability.
