KERSHIP launches the first OPV 60M for the Montenegrin Navy

Kership launched Petar Njegoš I, the first of two OPV 60M patrol vessels for Montenegro, at Lanester on September 11. Delivery is planned for April 2027, while the second ship is expected to launch in the first quarter of that year. The 62.95-metre, 550-tonne design is rated for 21 knots and 9,700 nautical miles, with accommodation for 24 crew and 16 additional personnel. Its equipment includes a 40 mm gun, two 12.7 mm mounts, sonar, an uncrewed aircraft capability and Naval Group’s Polaris combat system.
