Kongsberg signs contract with Oshkosh to fit Dutch JLTVs with Protector counter-drone systems for mobile force protection

Kongsberg contracted with Oshkosh Defense Europe to supply PROTECTOR RS4 remote weapon stations equipped with counter-uncrewed-aircraft capability for Dutch Joint Light Tactical Vehicles. The stabilized, open-architecture installation is intended to give maneuver units mobile detection, tracking, and defeat options while preserving the JLTV's force-protection role. The award confirms an integration program for the Netherlands, although the companies did not publish the number of vehicles, contract value, weapon configuration, or delivery timetable. Mobile integration can let protected formations respond to small aerial threats without waiting for a separate static air-defense unit.
